Gae Polisner has been with Nerdy Book Club since the very beginning. She won a Nerdy the first month of the site, and she was one of the first authors to ever write for the blog. She cares so much for her readers, and we are thankful that she considers herself a Nerd. Check out her latest Nerdy Book Club post: The Memory of Things.  I can't think of a more perfect author to join us at camp. Gae will be leading a session day one of camp, and she's sticking around for day two to work with some of our older Nerd Camp Junior campers.   Earlier this week Nora Baskin wrote a beautiful Nerdy Book Club post about her forthcoming book, Nine, Ten. Today, we get to announce that Nora is coming to Nerd Camp! Talk about a Nerdy Week!  Nora will lead a session for the grown-ups during Nerd Camp, and she's sticking around for Nerd Camp Junior to lead a session with our junior campers.   We are very excited to announce the Ruth Spiro is joining us for Nerd Camp this summer. Ruth's enthusiasm towards books and kids make her the perfect addition to our Nerd Camp team.   We are pretty sure that kids are going to freak out when we tell them that the one and only Raina Telgemeier is joining us for Nerd Camp and Nerd Camp Junior this summer.  Raina will be giving a Nerd Talk during day one's opening kickoff. We cannot wait to hear what she has to share.

We are super pumped that Josh is coming back again for another year of camp. His energy and enthusiasm is contagious.   Most kids exposed to Lauren Castillo's work instantly become fans. Last year the students of Nerd Camp fell in love with Lauren the person. Her hands on session at Nerd Camp Junior was legendary.  We are super excited to announce that Ms. Castillo is once again joining us for Nerd Camp and Nerd Camp Junior.    Erica Perl is an amazing human being. Readers far and wide have fallen for her books over the years. Not only is Erica a tremendous writer, she also cares tremendously about kids and reading. In short, she is a perfect addition to our Nerd Camp and Nerd Camp Junior lineup.  A huge thank you to Random House Books for sponsoring Erica's trip to camp.
 We are very excited to kick off 2016 by announcing that the amazing and talented Candace Fleming and Cadecott Medalist Eric Rohmann are coming to camp.  Candace and Eric are scheduled to be at camp Monday and Tuesday. We're excited to learn with them and to see them work with our junior campers during Nerd Camp Junior.   We are so thankful that the talented Aaron Zenz has volunteered to come back to Nerd Camp for a third straight year.  |
